Privacy

Nothing, by default. Product Tabs Studio does not collect analytics, does not phone home, does not check licences and does not load anything from a third-party server. No script, stylesheet, font or image is fetched from outside your site, on the storefront or in the admin.

The plugin sets no cookies of its own, and it does not read or store data about your customers. It stores the content you write and the settings you choose.

When you activate the plugin, a screen from the Freemius SDK asks whether you want update and security notifications. It is optional and can be skipped, and skipping it is a fully supported state: the plugin works identically either way.

If you skip it, nothing is sent.

If you accept, the following is shared with Freemius: your site URL, your WordPress version, your PHP version, and an anonymised identifier for the administrator account that accepted. Their privacy policy is at freemius.com/privacy/.

Tab content, product data, customer data and order data are never part of this. The opt-in can be withdrawn later from the plugin's account screen.

All of it stays in your own WordPress database:

• Product tabs as a JSON string in the post meta _ptstudio_tabs on each product, with recent versions in _ptstudio_tabs_history. The history records the date, the user id and the reason for each version.
• Global tabs as posts of the ptstudio_tab type, with their keys, priorities, rules and origin in post meta.
• Settings in the option ptstudio_settings, plus a compiled index of global tabs and migration progress in options of their own.
• An activity log of plugin events: refused saves, rendering fallbacks, key renames, order changes and migration steps. It records what happened and which product it happened to, not personal data beyond the WordPress user id already stored with any post revision. It can be cleared from Tools & Health → Log.
• Dismissed notices as user meta, so a notice you dismissed stays dismissed.
• Short-lived transients for detection results and counts.
• Uploaded import files, while an import job runs, in a protected directory under the WordPress uploads folder. They are deleted when the job finishes.

Tab content is public by nature: it is printed on your product pages. Do not put anything in a tab that you would not want a customer to read.

Deleting the plugin removes nothing unless you ask it to. Two checkboxes under Tab Settings → Data control this: one for the settings and global tabs, and a second for the per-product tab data. Both are off by default. Leaving them off means you can remove and reinstall the plugin without losing anything.

You can also take everything with you at any time: Tools & Health → Import / Export writes a JSON file with the settings, the global tabs and the per-product tabs.

• WordPress checks for plugin updates against WordPress.org. That is WordPress doing it, for every plugin you have installed, and it happens whether or not this plugin is present.
• WooCommerce stores the products the tabs are attached to. This plugin adds meta to them and reads their categories, tags and brands.
• Freemius is involved only through the opt-in described above.

These pages are static HTML with one stylesheet and a few images, all served from this domain. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no embedded fonts and no requests to any third party. Nothing you do here is recorded beyond whatever access log the host keeps by default.

The waiting-list form on the pricing page opens your own email client. Nothing is submitted to a server from this site.
